Welcome to Red Caiman Studios, Pittsburgh's premier recording facility. Located in downtown Pittsburgh from 2009 - 2023, and now located in the North Hills, Red Caiman specializes in Music Production and Commercial / Film Post Production. With our experienced staff, beautiful studios, and top-of-the-line equipment, we can help take any project from concept to completion.
We are in the process of transitioning to the new location in the North Hills, so big changes are coming soon to the website! Stay tuned.

Our Team
Jesse - Engineer / Producer / Owner
As an audio engineer, producer, and musician Jesse has had the privilege of working with some of the top artists in the industry ranging from international touring musicians and Broadway actors to some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world. Some of his past clients include,The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Atlantic Records, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Brothers Ent., Harper Collins, Penguin Random House, and Manchester Craftsman’s Guild Jazz.
Starting his journey as a musician, Jesse attended The Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University, earning a Bachelor of Music in Music Technology in 2006. In 2009, after working as a freelance engineer for three years, Jesse founded Red Caiman Media Inc. With a clientele including Andre Bocelli, Kaleo, Ewan McGregor, Leslie Odem Jr., Kevin Nealon, Justin Guarini, and Tamara Tunie, Red Caiman has grown into one of the premier recording studios in the region.
In 2010, Jesse began his higher education teaching career, accepting a position as an adjunct faculty member at Duquesne University, where he was later promoted to full time assistant professor in 2020. Jesse has also held an adjunct faculty position at the Rowland School of Business at Point Park University (2013—2019), where he was instrumental in the design and implementation of the student record label - Pioneer Records. From 2012–2016, Jesse held the Chair of Music Technology position at City Music Center of Duquesne University, where he designed and implemented the inaugural curriculum for the Music Technology track of the program. Jesse has been a professional member of the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and The Audio Engineering Society.
Jesse lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Taylor, their daughters Vera and Ellie, and bandana-wearing pup Archer.


Ben - Engineer / Producer
Ben is a producer, writer, and audio engineer who has been working professionally in the Pittsburgh area since graduating from Duquesne University in 2016. Combining experience from on-stage performance, recording work in studios, and collaborating with a wide variety of artists, he can take projects from their initial concept and grow them into polished recordings.
Ben has written and produced music of his own under the pseudonym William Sparks, and has worked with dozens of artists in the Pittsburgh area. From mainstream oriented artists like PM mirror, to alternative rock sounds like Surefire, to acoustically driven acts such as Sam Stucky, Ben draws from years of experience to help artists make their unique sound come to life.

Greta - Engineer / Producer
Greta is an audio engineer, songwriter, and pianist. Graduated from Duquesne University’s School of Music with a B.M. in Music Technology, she has experience in many facets of sound, including the composition, production, recording, mixing, and mastering of music, as well as the post-production of podcasts. Recently, Greta has worked with indie-pop artist Chris Pinto, pop producer ‘paleblue.’, and indie-pop duo Al Coda, as well various classical and jazz soloists, combos, and ensembles. Additionally, she has experience composing for both traditional ensembles and mainstream music for advertisement. When she’s not working on other creatives’ projects, Greta writes, produces, and engineers her own music. She has been a member of the Audio Engineering Society and SoundGirls.
